Convergence : Introduction

A poll of more than 500 senior executives in media companies found that 85% were already developing content across more than one platform, with 44% identifying new distribution models as their key business challenge.

Any business that thinks of itself today as a television company, a radio business or a magazine publisher, needs to think again. That may be the area that they are strongest in (and where most of their revenue and profit currently reside) but the world of content and distribution is transforming faster than anyone expected it to.

Screen WM is working closely with the Creative Industries Technology and Innovation Network (CITIN) and other partners to promote knowledge transfer between sectors and encourage more innovation and sustainability in SIS cluster businesses.
